Accommodation
We offer a variety of rooms, located within the inn, the courtyard annex and cottage. Our accommodation ranges from luxury superior rooms, self-contained two bedroom cottage, family and standard twin and double rooms.
The accommodation in the 16th Century Inn is both characterful and typical of its origins, with exposed beams, low sash windows and sloping floors! These rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms.
We have ground floor accommodation in our courtyard, which may suit those with mobility issues or suit those travelling with animals. Please note that these rooms are limited in number and reserved on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. We have some basic rooms in the courtyard annex which are popular with cyclists, fishermen and walkers. Secure outbuildings are used as a bike or equipment store for our cycling and fishing guests.
The fully renovated cottage offers a variety of modern rooms that have been restored to provide a modern feel whist keeping that country inn charm.
We are pet friendly, however expect owners to take responsibility for pet behaviour and cleanliness. Animals must be controlled and are not permitted within the restaurant area of the hotel. We apply an additional charge £10 per night, per animal, to cover the cost of additional room cleaning and sanitisation of soft furnishings.
Stay Comfortable
Looking to stay in our more luxury rooms? Stay in the Waldon or Mere suite which are a short walk from our main building across the courtyard. The Mere suite offers a superior twin room while the Waldon offers a superior double. They both offer more privacy than our rooms in the main building, as well as more space to compliment it. Both of our luxury rooms can be booked separately or as connecting rooms to make sure we are ready for any occasion.
We are happy to announce our reinvented Musselbrook Cottage. It offers a luxurious self contained, two bedroom, two floor lodge to cater to larger groups who want to stay together. Perfect for family holidays, or time away with your friends. Musselbrook cottage also offers disabled access to ensure everyone is able to enjoy a visit.
Recent Improvements
At the Half Moon we always take guest feedback on board, and that is why we have completely upgraded our plumbing system and showers, as well as completely re-carpeting the bar area, hotel and all rooms.
Note: This accommodation can only be booked through the Half Moon website or by calling the hotel with minimum stay durations applicable due to the cleaning time required after guest use.
Standard double, twin and superior rooms are available through our website and booking.com. We have listened to guest feedback and have upgraded shower facilities, floor coverings and allocated pet friendly rooms situated on the ground floor of the Annex and Shippen buildings at the rear of the hotel.
